To kill a section of lawn with zero, is it better to mow first to encourage new growth prior to spraying.

Answer: Hi Lloyd,
Zero is a total herbicide which is used to kill grass prior to laying a new lawn, as it does not leave any residues in the soil. The more leaf growth present the better will be the results as the leaves will absorb the Zero and translocate it throughout the grass to the roots zone. Spray on a warm day when rain is not expected and then do not mow for at least 24 hours.
