I am trying to level an area for laying turf but have come upon a really boggy area.

I am not sure if I need to somehow get all the water out and then fill it with lots of soil or if i can just pile the dirt on top of the water and roll it in. putting in a drain is not really an option as we have already got one in just a meter up from area.

Answer: Dear Mary,

Drainage is a very important part of successfully growing turf. I am not sure why the water is accumulating in this area if you have already put in a drain. You will need to look at where the water is running from and divert it at that point. I am sure if you contacted a landscaper, they would be able to assist you with this problem.
